Perched on a 2,200 foot mountaintop in the Endless Mountains of north central Pennsylvania, wrapped around a pristine lake, you will find the small town of Eagles Mere - listed on the National Register of Historic Places recognizing over 200 years of historically-significant homes and buildings.
Once you have arrived in our historic town center, enter the museum via the front porch of the original general store, now operating as the museum’s gift shop.
Begin your journey in the museum by learning about the formation of the lake, then travel though time experiencing its unique history of glass-making, farming, hotels, cottages, and even a narrow gauge railroad. View a video telling the story of Eagles Mere both past and present. Enjoy our interactive displays and then “travel” to our upstairs gallery to view our model Train Room.
